5th Anniversary Lunch - 11th December 2024

The Committee of Culm Valley u3a decided to hold a lunch to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Culm Valley u3a. 100 members attended the lunch held at Padbrook Hotel, Cullompton on the 11th December 2024. The event became both a celebration of our first 5 years and a Christmas celebration too!

Our Chair, John Hayston, welcomed us all to the lunch and talked about the progress made by CVu3a over the past 5 years, and encouraged us to keep going!

In between the main course and dessert a 20 question quiz was held with questions on General Knowledge and Christmas on the agenda. The winners enjoyed a bag of Quality Street sweets.

Once coffee had been served members of the CVu3a Ukulele band played and sang a variety of both Christmas and other well known songs, with many members joining in the singing, it was a lovely end to a very enjoyable event.

A huge thank you to the committee for arranging such an enjoyable event and to Padbrook Hotel for hosting us so well.
